Hi All,
The most basic and
complicated topic in CUCM dial-plan is CSS &Partition. When I look at this
topic I compare it with Lock (partition) and Key (CSS) and Route Pattern or a
DN as a door. Assume CSS as a key chain with different keys as partition.
·
A door without a lock can be accessed by anyone
which means: A DN without a partition
can be called by anyone.
·
Person with a key can access only doors without lock:
A CSS with no partition can call only
numbers with no partition.
·
For a lock if you have a key in you keychain you
can access that door: If you have
partition for a dialed number in your CSS only then you can dial that number.
Example: 1
DN: 1000
Partition: None
Access: This number can be dialed by anyone, including CSS
containing None partition.
