CSS & Partition

Hi All,

The most basic and complicated topic in CUCM dial-plan is CSS &Partition. When I look at this topic I compare it with Lock (partition) and Key (CSS) and Route Pattern or a DN as a door. Assume CSS as a key chain with different keys as partition.

·        A door without a lock can be accessed by anyone which means: A DN without a partition can be called by anyone.
·        Person with a key can access only doors without lock: A CSS with no partition can call only numbers with no partition.
·        For a lock if you have a key in you keychain you can access that door: If you have partition for a dialed number in your CSS only then you can dial that number.

Example: 1
DN: 1000
Partition: None
Access: This number can be dialed by anyone, including CSS containing None partition.

Example: 2

  1. Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though
you relied on the video to make your point. You obviously
know what youre talking about, why throw away your intelligence on just posting videos to your blog when you could be giving us something enlightening to read?
